Description
BOBBIN( for Torchon Lacemakers ) If you make bobbin lace, you will be intrigued by my hand-turned bobbins! Originally crafted for one of my dear thimble customers (thanks, Jan), this is the first in a line of bobbins I'll be turning. I use my favorite dyed birch laminate that's super durable and virtually waterproof. I call this color combination ~ PARIS ~. Each bobbin will measure approximately four inches long, will have a thread recess of at least three-quarters inch, and a hole drilled across the back end for you to add a spangle of your choice! Keep a lookout for my own spangled bobbins to come. They will feature a new version of my original WOODbyC beads!! Whether for your own, personal collection, or a gift for another lace maker, this original piece of WOODbyC comes ready for wrapping, with a gift card included. ... Updated 07-15-08 ... For Your Information Shop with confidence — your SATISFACTION is 100% guaranteed. Every WOODbyC item is personally designed and hand-crafted by me, going back to 1978 on “The Avenue” in Berkeley! Attention to detail is a point of artistic pride, and I want my work to exceed your expectations. TERMS and CONDITIONS (updated 07-15-08)     ~ Please Read These Once in a While ~ About PaymentPAYMENT (in U.S. currency) through PayPal is preferred — it’s quick and easy. Checks and money orders are okay, too, but will delay shipment. BUY IT NOW listings may sometimes require immediate payment of cost and shipping (through PayPal). More often they'll be invoiced and are eligible for combined shipping. AUCTION wins are invoiced within 24 hours, with an email detailing payment options to follow. Payment of invoice is due within 3 days (or 7 days if you are actively bidding on multiple items and want to combine shipping charges). If a single invoice totals $100 or more, payment is due immediately. About Shipping (and Combined) Charges for 2008INSURED U.S. SHIPPING (by First Class Mail) for all BUY IT NOW and AUCTION items remains $3 for the first one, and is FREE for each additional item, no matter how many you win or purchase over the course of seven days, when paid on the same invoice. Please await my combined invoice, which is FULL (and closed) when total reaches $100.BONUS: When a single invoice totals $100 or more, U.S. shipping is entirely free! (International shipping will be reduced 50%.)As a "starving artist" I always, dearly appreciate immediate payment. Plus, the "handling" cost for each item (about 1/3 of the shipping) is lost to me when combining auctions. (Cue the heartstrings!) So SHIPPING GREEN is offered — even encouraged — if you make multiple purchases or pay with several invoices. And if the number of items reaches six in one carton, I'll upgrade your U.S. shipping service to PRIORITY MAIL for FREE. INTERNATIONAL -- I'll ship up to 10 items (bundled together) worldwide for a flat $10 fee (via USPS First Class Mail International). That's $1 per item and a very fair price! International paperwork is not automated and requires personal delivery to the Post Office that takes at LEAST an hour away from my shop time. (Items may be won over 14 days.)Invite your friends to a shopping extravaganza and share the shipping burden!!!Unfortunately, tracking and insurance is NOT AVAILABLE and customs delays at your end can be quite significant. Please be very, very patient, and trust the shipping gods...About Communication and Feedback Smooth selling on eBay is super and customer satisfaction is the goal. So, if there is a problem, please let me know immediately (before leaving your feedback). I'll work through any difficulty to bring our transaction to a happy conclusion.(eMail your concerns to cynthia@woodbyc.com, or use eBay's "My Message" system.)I check my SELLER FEEDBACK daily -- often it's my only notice that you received your purchase. Once I know you're satisfied (through feedback OR email), I'll post my sincerely grateful feedback to you!About Custom RequestsIf you want an item in a different color, another wood, or a specific length, etc., tell me! Send your request separately to cynthia@woodbyc.com. Although each piece I make is essentially one-of-a-kind, and can't be reproduced exactly, I consider all requests for custom work, and may have what you want in backstock, waiting to be listed on eBay!About Gift Boxes and Free Bonus Bead Offer At craft fairs I offer free GIFT BOXES and a BONUS BEAD to my customers.(Well...they must request the bead, and often decline the boxes to save a tree, lighten the load, or reduce the impact of unwanted packaging on landfill.) On eBay, a FREE gift box is available for almost every item -- you only need to request it.
