QUILT WEIGHS ALMOST EIGHT POUNDS. I'M SURE THIS QUILT TOOK SEVERAL HUNDRED, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF HOURS TO MAKE. THERE ARE 25 SQUARES OF A WIDE VARIETY OF FLOWERS THAT HAVE BEEN COUNTED CROSS STITCHED BY HAND. THE DESIGN IS FIVE ROWS OF FIVE FLOWER SQUARES OR PANELS IN EACH ROW.  CROSS STITCHED PANELS MEASURE APPROXIMATELY 9" X 9".  QUILT WAS MACHINE STITCHED TOGETHER, BUT THEN THE QUILTING AND DETAIL WORK IS ALL HAND QUILTED AND STITCHED. I CAN FIND NO STAINS, RIPS, TEARS OR REPAIRS. QUILT IS VERY CLEAN AND WAS USED ONLY FOR A BRIEF TIME. BORDER IS BROWN OR TAN AND QUILTING BACKGROUND IS YELLOW WITH PRETTY LIGHT BLUE AND PINK FLOWERS. FLOWER SPECIES CROSS STITCHED ARE: HEPATICA, BOTTLE GENTIAN, LILY OF THE VALLEY, PAINTED TRILLIUM, DWARF IRIS, BLOODROOT, BLUE VIOLET, LADY'S SLIPPER, DOGTOOTH VIOLET, REDWOOD SORREL, PARTRIDGE BERRY AND INDIAN CUCUMBER ROOT.
