Description
Thomas is for warm smiles Description: Thomas is wonderful with his red mohawk of beauteous distinction. This item is for 3 ounces of natural colored and dyed blended fibers that have been picked into loose roving.Thomas is made from the fibers of llama, wool and mohair. All the animals who graciously shared their fiber are living 'The Good Life,' in Washington State.Thomas' main color is the darkest of green. The green is so dark it looks black except in certain lights where the green hues are highlighted. The dark green is balanced with red and white. The high ratio of the dark color with streams of red and white give Thomas an almost batik feel once it is spun. Wisps of mohair curls run throughout the entire blend adding to Thomas' attraction in looks and texture.Thomas will make a beautiful back ground in any felting project. Thomas was inspired by Mother Nature in her Pileated Woodpecker. Continually awes me the colors she does come up with! Thomas can be worn with equal ease by either a man or a woman. Lots of the blends listed in the store will work with Thomas.Thomas is an unusual blend and is a little fussy to spin. Probably best to be a moderate, advance or ambitious beginner spinner before taking on the fun and challenge of spinning Thomas. A couple of the pictures show a one version of how Thomas can look spun into yarn.Thomas was designed after a beautiful hard-headed woodpecker. Thomas is also a good friend who generously lets me use his pictures. Friend Thomas does 'random acts of kindness,' as in, just happens to be in the neighborhood with a load of firewood because I heat with wood and the temperature suddenly drops 20 degrees.
