Description
VISIT OUR EBAY STORE FOR A COMPLETE LINE OF CARDERS. The newest drum carder in the Strauch carder line is the PETITE. Assembled. NOT A KIT. The Petite is a manual drum carder with a polyurethane drive belt. This carder is part of our product line specifically for fiber artists who have a budget or space considerations but want the Strauc quality. The Petite is an excellent choice for a mid-sized carder with full size features. The Petite is slightly smaller (6 1/2" wide drum) than the standard chain drive (7 3/4" wide) models. As with chain drive models the .05 extra fine cloth on the large drum and "Slicer Licker" on the small drum is standard. Unique to the Belt-drive Petite Carder Feature Benefits Small size and price For those with space and cost consideration The BRUSH ON THE TOP IS AN ACCESSORY AND NOT INCLUDED. IT CAN BE PURCHASED IN OUR STORE FOR $75.00. Be sure and check out our chain drive models for larger production. Hilltop Gardens and More Pavilion, New York 14525 http://stores.ebay.com/Hilltop-Gardens-and-More Contact: Barbara Beach Email: kkbbeach@aol.com Phone: 585-584-3077 We are located in Pavilion, New York among the rolling hills of Wyoming County. A family owned business; we have operated at this location since 1978. After a few years of researching and visiting other farms, we added Alpacas to the therapeutic animals and other animals on our farm. Family members had for many years knitted and crocheted appreciating fine and unusual yarns. Now, as fiber animal owners, we began to acquire knowledge, acquaintances, interest in having our own fiber made ready for use in our creations and for others that appreciated (especially the spinners and felters). Our frustrations seemed to be shared with other fiber animal owners in that if you did find a source to get your own fiber back it was so far away that you felt you were kind of sending your precious animal’s fiber into the big unknown, hoping that someday in the far, far future you might get it back. We embarked on our quest to find the path that would work for us and other alpaca and other fiber animal owners. We learned that the raw fiber that was precious to us as animal owners also was appreciated by fiber artists in its carded form (batts and roving). We then learned how we could prepare our own fiber for that use. This led us to the Straucher Fiber Equipment Line. Straucher Fiber Carders produce a product that is far superior to many carders on the market. The carders are also able to be upgraded to electric (another strong feature.) Another big feature is the chain drive making them far superior and more durable than the belt driven machines of other manufacturers. These carders are made in the US. This was appealing to us both for delivery, the customs issue and holdup and the service and quality for which they were well known. In our research we got many glowing referrals from the fiber artists that had used their products. This led us to be proud dealers of the Strauch line.
