Our unstoppable design team at Cumberland Acoustic, designed this cutter and we use it for our own soapmaking.  It looks like a big paper cutter, but it uses a stainless steel wire to cut through the soap.  This cutter was designed for years of hard work, and includes industrial advantages such as an oil impregnated bearing at the pivot point, hardwood and European Plywood parts, and a specially printed acrylic base cover for easy clean-up. The large base, which measures 12" deep x  18" wide, was designed to hold a block of soap easily.  The acrylic is printed with a handy ruler, which "zeros" at the cut line, allowing you to cut logs or bars at exactly the measurement you choose. There are even parallel lines to help you to line up the soap properly. The cutting handle has a comfort grip, and the stainless steel cutting wire can be tensioned and replaced easily.  The cutter comes with an extra wire, and more can be ordered.
