Description
Presented for your consideration is this English small sword. The blade measures 31 inches and the sord overall measures 38 inches. The blade is in good condition and bears the makers mark of Robert Mole and Sons , Birmingham makkers to the war and India Offices, The scabbard is black leather and has brass mountings. Dates about 1890 to 1910. . Mole also supplied the Confederacy with a number of distinctive cavalry sabres. These were close copies of the English cavalry Model-1853, but with all brass guard. These are also stamped on the back of the blade (sometimes on the guard as well).
