Schacht Spindle Loom Start Price USD 1,100.00 Current Price USD 1,100.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price USD 1,600.00 Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, July 14, 2008 End Time Thursday, July 24, 2008 Location Montgomery, VT See more about 'Schacht Spindle Loom' Description We are selling a Schacht Spindle Co. maple floor loom.  The dimensions are 43.5" wide x 25" deep x 36.5" tall, with a 36" weaving width.  4 shafts, 6 foot peddles.Included in this sale is a bench, and a broad assortment of miscellaneous weaving tools, including various wood rods, a warping paddle, a warp board, and a few other unknown-to-us items.We are not weavers ourselves; rather, we inherited this loom from family.  We estimate its age to be approximately 10 years old.  We have cleaned and reoiled the loom; the only damage is a small waterstain on two of the legs (as pictured).  The loom is oil-finished, so sanding down and reoiling these sections would be quite simple.  Also, two screws that fasten a stabilizing bar are missing, but seem easily replaced by a trip to the hardware store.  Beyond that, it is nearly new and fully functional, awaiting the hands of a weaver.  We have had weaver friends both use and inspect the loom, and attest to its high quality and fine condition.On the bench, the finish is showing signs of wear, but there is no wood damage.  On the warp board, similarly there is wear in the finish but no damage; 16 of the 19 holes have pegs.This loom and associated accessories retails new for over $3000.00.Please contact us if there are any questions, and we will do our best to answer them (bearing in mind, again, that we are not weavers ourselves).  Local pickup only.  We are selling this item as-is, and offer no warranty, guarantee, or returns.Happy Bidding!
