The fabrics I have chosen for this quilt top are drawn from many different collections including September Morning, My Best, Orchard Prints, and Sunshine and Shadow. All share a similar tone/appearance - beautiful reds, greens, ivories, and golds that have been mellowed by time: perfect year-round, but especially suitable this time of year if you like a vintage-style Christmas look. This quilt top measures a generous 80" x 100" (approx.) The blocks measure 10" (finished) laid out in a 5 x 7 grid, with a multi-piece flower block alternating with an hour-glass block. Careful manipulation of the hour-glass block orientation creates a secondary pattern.  The quilt top interior is edged with three 2" borders using three fabrics drawn from the block fabrics,  then is framed with a 9" (finished) border.  I pride myself on my workmanship - my corners match, my seams are straight, and my points are sharp. Check out the gold fabric that forms part of the hour-glass block: I paid  the extra attention to orient the block pieces so that faint lines on the fabric are aligned: a small detail, but one that adds to the harmonious quality of the top.
