Description RECYCLED YARN - THE STORY This is yarn recycled from always-clean and always-excellent quality sweaters. I don't straighten the yarn, so it will be curly but very usable. I clearly mark any skeins which have multiple knots. This is a non-smoking, cat-friendly home. Most of my business is repeat so you can tell by my feedback that you'll be getting a bargain. You'll love this stuff! THE SWEATER This was a woman's long sleeved turtle sweater by Saks Fifth Avenue Cashmere Collection and it was an oversized medium. THE YARN This yarn is 100% cashmere and the color is a lovely medium blue - a bit deeper than baby blue - maybe cornflower. This is the kind of cashmere I lust for when looking for sweaters to recycle. It’s thick (sport weight, 4 ply) and there’s just a tich under a full pound! It’s super strong and soft. This is a special lot - don’t miss it. It completely fills a 2-gallon bag. The golf ball is a size reference. One skein only has a few knots and is clearly marked. There are no knots in any of the other skeins and they've all been wound into pull skeins. WEIGHT Total weight of the yarn is 15.6 ounces or 442 grams. It's 14 WPI (this is the number of times you can wrap the yarn around a ruler in a one inch space without overlapping or leaving gaps). This is a sport weight yarn.
