Well, this frog eliminates about 98% of that depending on how heavy the blade is. The sword , Belt & tools in this auction are " Not " included! We do not recommended this frog for swords without there own scabbard!This frog should fit most any narrow bladed swords scabbard.( Rapiers, Sabers & Samurai )  It would work well for very large daggers as well. But not for the big bulky swords SUCH AS... Big broad swords , bastard swords etc. etc. Get our 4 buckle for those bigger heavier blades.The rivets We use on this frog & many other frogs are made ofbrass nickel plate & stainless steel double caps depending onthe application to assure long lasting products .This sword frog was designed with 3 different types of leather consisting of different ounce weights as well, & not all made from the same type of hide like some of the wannabe leatherworkers do it.  The back is one kind of leather, Buckle loops are another & The belt loops are yet another type of leather. Each having different properties, for  accomplishing the job they need to do!   This combination was necessary to accomplish a frog that performs the way I wanted it to! Nothing less than Great !! ) It measures about 2 1/4" wide by 5 1/2" into an angle then 7 1/2 " long to a strap back up to your belt studded with stainless steel double caps so they look great for the life of the frog !the frogs belt loops will accommodate just over a 2 & 1/8 inch wide belt, or if you need wider belt loops ? we can accommodate you ! just ask.This design uses removable straps so if you prefer you can have the straps go up instead of down the lions head prevents it from being reversible so, so please specify witch side you would like it to hang from... your left or right hip. I am a trained, full time, Professional Leather Worker / Artesian.
