I’m offering up for you this week is “Harvest Thyme” locker hooked rug, which measures roughly 21 ½” long X a smidgen over 12” wide. I used a black solid cotton to create Chester the crow & a grayish brown print for he’s wing. I added an old button so he can see during those corn crop raids. In front of Chester the crow is a Lumina pumpkin done up with tea stained muslin, one darker than the other & also a pale olive green homespun stripe for the stem. In the upper left corner is a folky star hooked in an olive print. A solid brown makes up the background but in order to make it more primmy I used a paint wash to grubify it! The border is roughly 1 ¼” wide concocted with a crazy black, grey & dark maroon print & a solid brick fabric. I use 100% quilter’s cotton in creating my locker hooked rugs!
