I’m offering up this week warm patriotic rug that measures approximately 11” wide X 34” long with ¾” border. In the center I’ve hooked a segmented five pointed Americana star in navy blue, tea stained muslin & a solid burgundy. I also had hand stitched little pearl beads for “stars” on the navy blue portion & stitch on a worn buffalo nickel button in the center of the star. I used a small print in gray tones to hook each bird & used a solid grayish blue for their wings. There’s a mustard solid hooked in for their beaks. I “stacked” buttons for their eyes, these too are stitched on. The border is done up in a solid chocolate, burgundy plaid homespun & tea stained muslin & the background is plain ole muslin!
