I'm very excited to be able to offer these  to my customers. I'm impressed with how well this works. It stops right away when you have a tangle yet winds yarn off a skein winder, swift , bobbin or skein very quickly. My first test was the ball of handspun mohair shown in the photo. Although the heavier texture caused it to stop occasionally to feed a fatter section of yarn through the guides it still was so much faster than winding by hand.  It works great on my fine single ply handspun yarn.  (Please be sure to read the warranty information below.  No refunds, exchanges only.)  I've been using my ball winder for about two years now and it has saved me countless hours of hand cranking, not to mention the reduced wear and tear on my arm and shoulder.  I prefer to wind my yarn off my spinning wheel into balls and then ply from the balls so this tool is a godsend for me. It also quickly wound yarn from a swift and out of a commercial skein very quickly and smoothly. The winder is nice and compact and clamps to your work area or even your knitting machine with ease.  It doesn't take up much more room than a hand winder and less than some.  This is the 250 gram size winder so it holds up to 8 ounces of wound yarn.  It includes the tension mast and even comes with a spare bobbin. Just clamp it down, attach the yarn guide, put on the bobbin and flip the switch and you are winding yarn. Quick to assemble and disassemble and it weighs about 4 pounds so is easy to move. Also look in my ebay store for an electric Yarn Twister, Yarn Stacks for your knitting machine and spare bobbins for the electric winder.     I am a very small business and do not feel that it is fair to mark my products up to all my customers to cover the cost of issuing refunds when a buyer changes their mind.  Therefore my policy is to not issue refunds.  I will consider all requests for exchanges.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and a handling fee of 10% for exchanging the product.  I am not responsible for issues related to color as monitors and photo quality can vary.   My electric winders and twisters are under warranty (unless being used commercially).  This winder is designed for home use only. Not intended for commercial use. The motor will overheat if used for long periods of time. This may also cause the belt to break. Home use is defined as about 5 balls a day. If used properly this winder should give you years of use. 1 year warranty against defects. Warranty is void if the winder is misused or the spindle gear is damaged from improperly putting the bobbin on. Please read the directions carefully prior to use and this machine should operate just fine for you  I will address any problems with them for the first 30 days after purchase.  Beyond that you will need to deal with the manufacturer.  If you have a problem, please contact me and give me a detailed description of what you don’t think is right and I will try to coach you into troubleshooting and seeing if it is an operational problem or a problem with the machine.  If it appears that the machine is indeed broken, I will ask you to return it to me.  I will inspect and test the machine when it arrives and if it is a warranty problem, I will ship out another machine and reimburse your shipping costs.  If the machine does work as it should, it will be returned to you with some instructions for dealing with the issue you were having.  Welcome to "Plum Crazy Llama Ranch & Fiber Art".
