The background is a deep purple that looks almost black out of light. She is made up of hundreds of colored glass that was a fixed onto a panel of glass and sealed into a very detail wood , handcrafted, white-crackled and gold, fabric frame. The glass is set with 100% silcone and then grouted with sanded tile grout to give it a look like stain glass.  I have been doing realism mosaic glass art pieces for around 10 years now and have sold several pieces in different galleries through the years. Currently I am just selling them either out of my home or through e-bay. This piece is truely one of the better creations I have done. I just love her and her whole look. She is exotic and powerful and makes a statement about the natural beauty women can have. I named her "Natural Radiance" which is the perfect name for her! She is really meant to be hung with a light source of some kind, like a stain glass, however she is strong enough to stand without light and still make just as powerful a statement. It took just over a 100 hrs to complete and it shows! OK so I love my creation and really hope someone else will too!
