Description
*No Reserve Auction* This is a 11 feather flat stiff Pow Wow, Gourd or Peyote fan made from Great Hornbill and a center Blue and Gold Macaw tail feather. This is a large fan, 18.5 inches from tip of center feather to top of removable handle. It is 22.5 inches with the handle attached, excluding the 9 inches of hand-rolled buckskin fringe. The entire handle is wrapped in high quality white buckskin. The florals have 7 rows with royal blue, dark green, green, lime green, light lime green, yellow and lady amherst feathers. The center feather has blue flats, green flats, lime green flats, yellow flats, lady amherst, and irridecent turkey flats. There are bright red lady amherst tippets above florals on the center feather for a bit of color, with lady amherst black and whites at the top. I used jewelry wire instead of fly tying threads for the threadwork, creating a very shiny, clean smooth look. The wires are more durable than threads, and have been coated in a clear protective glaze to keep the colors bright. I used black, blue, and forest green. This fan was beaded because I originally planned on keeping it (changed my regalia colors). I used size 13 true cut seed beads, there is 3.75 inches beaded on the handle. Please email me with questions before bidding. International bidders need to email me prior to bidding. I accept postal or walmart money orders, and paypal. I cannot ship this item out of the United States due to CITES laws. I pack and ship my fans very carefully, but insurance is highly recommended. I ship with USPS unless you have a preference. I do NOT accept returns. I will be happy to send more pictures as needed to help you make a purchase decision. Please don't bid unless you are willing to pay for the item. I really want to exchange positive feedback! I really enjoy making fans and I hope the quality of this fan shows in the pictures, which were not enhanced in any way, except for cropping. They were taken outside in sunlight on August 29th. I am an enrolled member of the Caddo Tribe, and if you want a COA, please request one. I have been very busy working on fans this past month.
