The splitter can split leather up to 6 in. wide and 11 to 12 oz.      It has a blade that is the most beautiful I have ever seen on a splitter. no nicks or burrs and sharp as a razor. the body has been powder coated.just a beautiful piece of work.This splitter is put out by neel's saddlery and harness shop. It is part of the cowboy series tools. the Crown splitter is another nice tool.
