Description
This auction is for a complete rug hooking kit designed by Sharon Perry. It includes everything you need to complete this 16 X 26 inch Primitive Hooked Rug. It's a pretty simple design with a great mix of beautiful wools, mostly hand dyed and cut on a #8 (1/4") blade. The border is done with black, dyed blues, crimson, oats and cream. The interior of the rug features some of my favorite primitive subjects in an array of beautiful shades of wool. The mixed interior borders give this piece a truly primitive look of rugs of the past. Hooked up it would make a beautiful wall hanging, table centerpiece, bench warmer, or even a floor mat. These hooked rugs look great hanging from pieces of country furniture or covering the tops on large trunks as well. Here's what you receive when you purchase this kit. Color Photo of Completed Rug Comprehensive Rug Hooking Instructions Color Key # 8 Cut 100% Wool Fabric Strips Pattern Hand Drawn on cotton Monks Cloth (2 X 2 grid) sealed at the edges to prevent fraying Rug Binding for the Finished Rug I do have rug hooks available for $6.00 each with any kit purchase. I don't put them into the kits automatically because I have many repeat customers who don't need a hook with every kit they purchase. By not including the hook I can also keep the cost of the kit a bit lower.Care has been taken in the packaging of this kit. It comes in an very sturdy oversized zip lock bag that's most convenient for taking it out and putting it away at your leisure. I accept paypal, money orders and personal checks - a postage fee 7.95 for priority mail within the U.S. or 8.75 airmail to Canada will be added to the winning bid. If this is your first project I would suggest a quilting hoop frame which can be purchased at any fabric store. There are more user friendly and costly frames available, but I did my first couple of rugs on a quilting hoop and then graduated to the more expensive frame. If you have any questions or would like to discuss rug hooking in general, please email me and thanks for your interest in my work. All of my ebay items come from a smoke free home.
