Ladder Style~Quilt~Rack~Stand~DISPLAY 5 QUILTS~Oak Handcrafted, one at a time, in Georgia, USA~Solid Oak Start Price USD 104.99 Current Price USD 104.99 Time Left 24 days 9 hours 6 minutes Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, September 27, 2008 End Time Friday, December 26, 2008 Location Woodstock, Georgia See more about 'Ladder Style~Quilt~Rack~Stand~DISPLAY 5 QUILTS~Oak' Description I am a quilter and my husband is a woodworker and together we designed and crafted a lovely quilt display rack.  It is a ladder style rack that can be securely leaned against the wall or in a corner.  The beauty of it, is that it displays 5 quilts and makes a magnificent addition to any room.  My husband, who is quite detail oriented and perfectionistic has added special touches like beading down the sides (shown in the detail picture), angled edges on top with felt padding that will hug the wall surface and not damage it (also shown in detail photo), angled bottom edges with non slip padding that will sit flush on the floor.  He uses only premium solid oak and sinks the dowels for the rungs so that they don't nick the quilt.  The decorative screws are bright brass special furniture grade and lay flat which adds a rich finish.  He then seals the wood so that the quilts are safe for years to come.    This stand is stained classic golden oak, and is buttery smooth to the touch.  The quilts in the pictures are not included in this auction.  I have several of these ladder style racks; one in my living room, one in the den, one in my bedroom.  I've finally been able to get all of my quilts on display and out of the linen closet, cedar chest and I really enjoy looking at them!  My grandmother stored her quilts rolled up in flower sacks on the top shelf of her closet; what a pity!  Now I have them out for everyone to appreciate what masterpieces they truly are!  It is 59 inches tall and 17 inches wide.  The space sides (dowel length) is 16 inches wide and accomodates quilts of all sizes quite nicely.  The rack is shipped fully assembled, insured and well packed.  Only the best from High Cotton Quilt Ladder Co. in Woodstock, GA.
