Description
PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE LISTING DESCRIPTION INCLUDING THE SHIPPING INFORMATION CAREFULLY! This brand new MANUAL Glass Fusing & Bead Annealing Kiln by Jen-Ken, is the very same model the Two Lasses use in their own studios and in their popular glass classes and it comes with EVERYTHING you need to get started right away! The Manual Glass Fusing & Bead Annealing Kiln by Jen-Ken can be used for any number of glass fusing projects and for annealing beads! With this wonderful, dependable kiln, there is NO limit to your creativity! Contrary to some of the "wisdom" circulating the Internet or offered by self-described "experts", a MANUAL kiln is NOT difficult to use, and does NOT require much more time or effort than a fully programmable kiln. The Two Lasses have FOUR of this exact, same model in their studios and this very same kiln is the one we CHOOSE to use in our classes for real-time kiln firing demonstrations! This super kiln retails for $445.00 and UP (PLUS shipping)! ELECTRICAL: This kiln uses standard 120 volt, 13 amp household current -- NO rewiring needed! It has a three-prong plug and 8 foot power cord. INTERNAL DIMENSIONS: 11 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep WITHOUT shelf in place, and approximately 3.5 inches WITH shelf in place. EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS: 23.5 x 18 inches x 12 inches high. WEIGHT: (set-up with kiln shelf in place) about 45 pounds. Shipping weight is approximately 55 pounds. WARRANTY: - This Jen-Ken kiln has a limited TWO year warranty (including elements) from the date of purchase. FEATURES: - Built-in Infinite Controller and Pyrometer. NOTE: For illustrative purposes, an infinite controller can be compared to the dial on your stove-top. The numbers on the dial correspond to the amount of heat that the kiln produces. Like your stove top, the kiln's coils cycle on and off in order to produce the desired amount of heat. For example, when you set the dial to #2 setting, the coils are firing "ON" 20% of the time and resting/off 80% of th time. Setting the dial at #6 would mean the coils will be firing "ON" 60% of the time and resting/off 40% of the time. The pyrometer is the device that reads and then registers the temperature inside the kiln. While a manually controlled kiln will require a bit more vigilence than a kiln with a controller, the Two Lasses have FOUR of this exact same model between them, and love them as much as their bigger, programmable kilns! - Side firing elements (you do NOT need or want heating elements in the lid of a kiln of this size)! - Heavy duty handles for ease in portability - The lid of this top loading kiln opens completely and has been coated with a high temperature coating to prevent the fire brick from "shedding" on to your projects. Thanks to a specialized lid prop arm mechanism attached to the front of the kiln, the lid can be held open in two venting positions. - This kiln is constructed of fire brick rated to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit with a maximum heating temperature of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. - The Jen-Ken MANUAL Glass Fusing & Bead Annealing Kiln comes WITH EVERYTHING you need to begin fusing and annealing namely, One 9" Kiln Shelf * Three 1/2" Kiln Posts * One Bag of Kiln Wash * Instruction Manual and Three Base/Foundation Bricks on which to set the kiln. DELIVERY: This fabulous kiln will be ready to ship BY July 28th! At the close of this auction we will need your complete shipping address AND your daytime PHONE NUMBER in order to process your order. SHIPPING: via UPS anywhere in the lower 48 states is just $50.00 Those customers residing in Hawaii and Alaska, please contact the Lasses for applicable shipping charges @ twolassesglass@yahoo.com.
