We have been asked to make smaller ones, so we listened to our customers and gave them what they wanted – the 4 pound Flat Mold! FREE CONSULTATION IS GIVEN WITH EVERY MOLD WE SELL! The advantages of Flat Molds are: 1.     It is much easier to remove the soap than Loaf Molds which do not come apart. (I still don’t know how a person gets the soap out of a Loaf mold that does not come apart without marring the soap.) My Flat Molds don’t come apart either, but because they are shallow and they are cut before removing, they come right out when turned over. 2.     It is simplicity itself when you add color swirls and you want to make sure it goes all the way through the bar, not just on the top of the soap. 3.     When you put botanicals on the top of your soap, they cover the face of the bar, not just one edge. It holds 4 to 5 pounds of soap, which makes 16 four oz bars sized 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. This slotted soap mold measures 13 x 9 x 1 3/4 inches (inside dimensions). Made from scratch using high quality Select Pine (no knots which can cause warping or cracking) and Birch, the sides of the mold are slotted to act as guides for the soap knife, which results in uniform-sized bars every time.
