Description
The most inexpensive way to learn a new/old craft!! This beginner's drop spindle weighs just one ounce and will allow you to spin very fine or chunky/novelty yarn (which is what your first attempts will look like, although most spinners will tell you they regret having lost this ability after getting better at it). There are many great websites and books available for clear, simple instructions, if you can't find any, just e-mail me and I'll help you along. We carry a full range of gorgeous fibres for you to try, so watch for our weekly listings !! This listing includes a colourful variety of dyed Corriedale fibres but you can ask me to replace them with almost any fibre in the shop (same weight and value won't cost you more). Knit-Knackers Yarn Warehouse is the fibre-holic's haven. We import our own silk yarns and fibres and we pay the duties and taxes so you don't have to. We raise our own angora rabbits and scour the country side for the finest fleeces. We carry discontinued yarns from all the major manufacturers and mill-ends from Canadian mills. We're knitters and spinners (and learning about weaving), we're incorrigible bargain-hunters and we love to share our knowledge, tips and tricks, as well as passing on the savings to you. Shipping is always the deal-maker or breaker in any eBay transaction, so we try and find the least expensive method. Small Packets to the U.S. destinations are cheap but slow (2 - 4 weeks) !! The problem is that they are not traceable. The next safest and most economical solution is to stock up on larger quantities of your favourite items, combine the auction wins and pay an average of $18 - $23US for a box of up to 5lbs. This will average out your shipping costs and save you money in the long run. Shipping within Canada is more expensive so please check with us before bidding. While the shop is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, we monitor our e-mails 7 days a week. If you write and don't receive a response within a couple of hours we didn't get your e-mail so please try again. We leave feedback for everyone who leaves feedback for us, we answer all your questions and appreciate your timely payments. If you're close enough, you can pick up your auction wins at the shop and pay no shipping fees whatsoever. Thank you for looking at our yarns and fibres, please let us know if there's something you're looking for and haven't found. Happy bidding!! * PLEASE NOTE: Shipping fees are constantly changing due to global increases in transportation costs. There's nothing I can do about this situation and ask that you consider combining auctions and/or in-store orders whenever possible in order to average out your costs. ** ALSO: The more it costs, the slower that carriers seem to travel. Planes are being grounded and truck are waiting to be completely filled before starting their journeys. Your patience is appreciated as we all suffer the consequences of this situation.
