It was designed specifically for annealing beads, small lampwork sculptures and perfume bottles while they are still on the mandrel. It retails for $650.00 and UP (PLUS shipping)! PLEASE NOTE -- This is NOT a fusing kiln. The maximum temperature is 1100 degrees F. It is for annealing ONLY!! ELECTRICAL: The Jen-Ken Chili Pepper Annealer uses standard 120 volt, 8 amp household current -- NO rewiring needed! It has a three-prong plug and 8 foot power cord. INTERNAL DIMENSIONS: 16 inches wide x 6.5 inches deep x 6 inches high Front opening (flip door): 16 inches wide x 4 inches high EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS: 24 inches wide x 12 inches deep x 9.5 inches high WEIGHT: About 18 pounds. Shipping weight is approximately 25 pounds. WARRANTY: This Jen-Ken Annealer has a limited ONE year warranty on ALL parts and components from the date of purchase. Labor is included on factory repairs. The Orton AutoFire controller is warranted for TWO years under a separate plan from the Orton Company. CONTROLLER: Orton AutoFire 3 button controller features built in programs - Skip Step, Add Time and Add Temperature capabilities - FOUR user programs of up to EIGHT ramp/soak segments each in length - Ramp and HOLD capability - Power Failure Resume feature. FEATURES: - "Power-On" green pilot light - Large, comfortable handle makes this the ideal annealer for teachers and for the traveling artist! ELEMENT: A singe Kanthal A-1 element is inserted in a quartz tube and mounted at the top of the back wall. Kiln is test-fired to 1100 degrees F. prior to shipping. 1100 degrees F. is maximum temperature for this kiln. This is an ANNEALER, not a fusing kiln. SAFETY: This annealer also lined with TWO, one inch layers of NON-CARCINOGENIC, 8 pound density fiber. A hardener is applied to the surface of the insulating lining and fired on PRIOR to shipping.
