There are approximately 3,300 rings in a pound. We are part of a reenactment group and these are the rings that we typically use in the making of our chainmaille (chainmail), and can be used for jewelry or most armor projects. The bright aluminum is the most commonly used alloy, mainly because it’s the cleanest, and tends to be the lightest without sacrificing strength. One pound of these rings will make about a 1 to 1 1/2 square foot sheet of European 4-in-1, pinched ring style, The most common weave used for armor.  We include approx. 250 extra links in every bag due to a few damaged links during cutting that we may have missed  We buy all of our bright aluminum wire from the Ring lord in Canada, Well known for quality and strength in all of their products,We have made over a dozen suits with these links with little or no problems, They keep their shine over the years Please feel free to contact us with any questions about larger orders, or the number of links needed for your project, or any other questions We can combine shipping on mutiple winning bids_____________________________________________________________ All photos posted are of actual items being sold.
