There are approximately 2,000 rings in a pound. We are part of a reenactment group and these are the rings that we typically use in the making of our chainmaille (chainmail), and can be used in most armor projects. These are the links we use when we are going for a more "realistic" look, This steel turns grey with age and has a heavier, cold rolled steel look. More like the darker, shaded, appearance of the armor from The Lord of The Rings.
