When fired,the cork clay turns to ash, leaving a hollow interior. Great for beads, this economical filler will greatly reduce the cost of your projects! 8 ounces, about 6x4x3/4 inch block. If you are not familiar with precious metal clay, read on: silver particles are suspended in a water-based clay, which burns off under heat leaving a silver creation. You form your own findings, settings, beads, brooches, or anything that could be shaped with clay, which burns away to leave pure silver (99.9%) with very little shrinkage. The great part is you are molding a clay material, which can be finely detailed and sculpted. The "650" refers to the firing temperature (in Centigrade, which is 1200 degrees Fahrenheit). This is generated with a kiln, or often with a handheld flame. You'll need a number of tools; if you are already using Art Clay, you probably have what you need.
