Description
Please note: Should this auction end early with my "Buy it Now" option, please allow me a day or two, to get your Bernina packed up and shipped out. Each and every machine that I sell has been professionally cleaned and serviced before I list them on eBay. I am very fussy about what I sell so after a machine has been paid for I run through the full list of service checks, sew and embroider with it just to be positive that everything is nothing less than perfect before the machine is packed and shipped. This all adds up to each machine actually being triple checked before it is shipped out! Should you buy from me, you will understand when you receive your machine why it takes me one long day to pack everything up for shipping. Check out my eBay feedback and you will see the comments past customers have made about their shopping experience with me. Lots of pride, care and attention to the smallest details goes into each and every sale. I have an elderly Father that I am caring for and I just never know when I have to drop what I am doing so I can help him out. So thank you in advance for allowing me an extra day or two in getting your Bernina shipped out to you. Thank you very much for understanding!! ATTN; Bidders with 0 feedback please read my message ** below in my ad before you bid. FREE Shipping!! If you have any questions about this or anything else related to this great machine, please ask before you bid or purchase it. THANK YOU! 2004 Bernina Artista 200E with only 12 total hours of use!!!!Includes ARTlink Software and Berninas optional BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator ). A well cared for Computerized Sewing, Quilting & Embroidery machine! This Machine has just had it's operating system updated to Bernina's newest version 4.51. That's Bernina's latest software update and the same software that powers the new 730, and with the BSR kit on this machine, it is exactly the same as a 730!!! You can now use a USB Memory Stick (included ) for storing or loading embroidery designs!! Great for home or small business. Your only limit is your imagination ! The Stitch Regulator/BSR foot attachment gives you both straight stitch and zig-zag freemotion capabilities. This gives you a new level of creativity. It allows anyone to do free motion quilting without the uneven stitches. So you can relax and think about the design not the stitching! So your only limit is your imagination!! Retail price of the upgrade is $1,295.00 Up for sale is a very nice 2004 Bernina Artista 200E. This well cared for machine comes from a smoke free environment and has been recently cleaned and serviced and updated as of 7-15-08. I will not list / sell a machine unless it has been completely checked out and given a clean bill of health. This is not just a wipe off the outside and sell type of service job! All the outside plastic is removed, the machine is thoroughly cleaned, checked and adjusted if needed, lubricated and re-assembled. Then it goes through a long series of service checks, the stitch balance is set, buttonhole balance is set, then it is thoroughly tested in the sewing and embroidery mode. Low hours or high hours, newer or older, it does not matter, each and every Bernina is thoroughly cleaned, serviced and tested/ adjusted if needed. I even test it one more time just before it is packed up. I will include the test sew outs. This machine has only 1:06 sewing hours and only 11:13 hours of embroidery time on it for a total of 12:20 hours as shown in the photo of this machines service screen in with the other photos below in this ad. It sews and embroiders perfectly and is very clean inside and out! Just a few days ago I had this machine's internal software/operating system updated to Bernina's latest Version 4.51 and the BSR kit was installed, making this machine exactly the same as the new 730! This machine is very clean and new looking! I can tell by checking it out that it has been well cared for. With this V-4.51 firmware update you can now use USB Flash Memory sticks in the USB port. One memory stick is included. Not only can you store designs on memory sticks, they are very handy for transferring designs to your machine, especially if your computer is not in the same room where you have your machine. You can download designs from the internet, CD, Floppy disk ( if anyone uses floppies any more) and memory cards and transfer the design(s) you want to embroider right into a USB memory stick ( also called a flash drive) . Put that USB memory stick in this Bernina and bring up the design you want to embroider right on the machines color touch screen!! It is that easy!! One question that I get asked a lot is; Do I need to have this machine hooked up to a computer to embroider with it? A: Unlike some other makes of embroidery machines, the Bernina 200E does not need to be hooked up to a computer to sew or embroider. They have a computer built into them and they use a Windows based operating system. You can transfer designs right into this machine with a USB flash drive, plus this machine has a card slot for using Bernina embroidery design cards! There are lots of options without the need to have this machine hooked up to a computer, but if you want to, the software and USB cord are included so you can do just that! Lots of options, that is what you get with a machine like this! Another common question is: What is the difference between a 200 and a 730 and how does the BSR update make this machine exactly the same as a 730? A: First I will start off by saying that I have been working on and servicing Bernina's for many years and I have installed a ton of BSR kits on the 200E machines so my answer is from actual "hands on" experience, not info from a web site. The 200 and the 730 use the exact same chassis and share 100% of the same mechanical parts. When the 730 came out it featured a newer look to it's outside plastic, you could use the USB memory sticks ( also called "flash drives") to transfer embroidery designs into the machine and the biggest selling point was the new BSR ( Bernina Stitch Regulator) free hand sewing foot. A super neet item for quilting or any other type of free hand sewing. On the electrical end the 730 featured more internal memory, bumped up to 64mb over the 200's 32mb. This additional memory prevent machine "lock ups" due to the memory filling up. When a machine "locks up", just turn it off and start it again. This clears the memory and you are off and running again. Along with the extra memory there was a software ( also called "firmware") update to V-4.04. This same update along with the extra memory could be added to a 200 by a Bernina Dealer. Anyone that returned a 200 to their Dealer with a lock up problem most likely had a firmware update and the newer memory module ( called a "Mini Print") added to their machine. The latest updates to the 200, the update that makes it a 730 is the BSR update kit and Berninna's latest V-4.51 firmware, the exact same firmware that runs the 730. So by now adding the the new Mini Print that has the 64mb of memory, updating the firm ware to V-4.51, adding the new plastic end cap on the machine that has the plug in for the electronic BSR foot, you now have a 200 that has all of the same features and functions as a 730. Again the only difference is cosmetic, the outside plastic looks slightly different and that is it. Some 200E machines that have only had their firmware updated and not had the full BSR kit installed on them are sometimes represented as being the same as a 730 except for the BSR option. That is a kind of a gray area and is not completely untrue ,but by just updating the 200's firmware ( operating system) and not adding the extra 64mb memory module does not make it "exactly like" or "same as" a 730. If you are shopping around, you might want to save some money and opt not to pay extra for the BSR update, but you should make sure that if the firmware was updated to V-4.04 or the newest V-4.51,and that the machines "Mini Print" ( memory module) has also been updated to the 64mb version. The firmware update will allow you to use the USB memory sticks. Happy Bernina shopping!! Please take note that the BSR ( Bernina stitch regulator) kit has been installed on this machine and is included in the price of this auction! Normally this machine would be listed with a "BUY IT NOW" price of $3,574.00 without the BSR kit and updates. I am only charging $400.00 extra for the BSR kit installed on this machine for a "BUY IT NOW" total of $3,974.00. The BSR kit sells from $800.00 to $1,400.00 plus depending on where you get it, so the extra $400.00 for this upgrade is a great deal! Here are some of the benefits of the version 4.51 update; Bernina memory stick compatible. This adds the flash memory stick feature to this machine. No need for a special Bernina memory stick, almost any USB flash memory stick will work. * Maximized communication flow between the embroidery unit and the machine, eliminating freezing ( lock up's). also as part of the BSR update, the machines internal memory is upgraded from 32mb to 64mb. *Eliminating freezing ( lock up's ) during editing functions *Elimination of loosing of X/Y position ( embroidery arm position ) during operation * Speed calibration added functions: Warming up of the machine, slow speed, medium speed, and high speed *Slower acceleration/smoother hoop movements. I will have this software update installed on all of the 200E machines that I list on eBay from now on. On a personal note, I have found that the updated machines run and sound much smoother when embroidering with this software update, also I have not had any "lockup" problems or false "check bobbin thread" on screen messages. Bernina's are built to last, with Swiss precision and craftsmanship that enables them to keep sewing for thousands of hours. This is no "chain/discount store" sold toy !! This machine is nothing less than incredible!! There are so many things that you can do with this sewing/embroidery Bernina. With a total of 853 stitch patterns, 7 Alphabets, Monograms, 10 Buttonholes and 2 eyelets. You'll always find the perfect stitch for any sewing situation! Stitches can be easily accessed in groups or by directly entering the stitch number. This is one machine that you will never outgrow!!! A computerized Sewing/Embroidery machine that is the only machine made to have a Microsoft Windows Powered operating system that is logical and easy to use with familiar icons, pop up messages, and files. This computerized machine has a large and bright color touch screen, enables you to do all kinds of stitch and embroidery pattern editing right on the machine !! This machine does so much that it would take me, a one finger "hunt and peck" typer, all night to list out. If you are looking at this auction, chances are very good that you know how feature packed this machine is!!! My best advice for you would be to tell you to go to www.berninausa.com and check out all of the great things that can be done with this machine!! Keep in mind that this updated machine now has all of the exact features and functions as a 730 so all the info you read about a 730 will also apply to this machine. From beginner to expert, home to small business, your only limit is your imagination! Oh yes, lets not forget the Auto Thread Cutter, a very cool feature that cuts the thread with a push of the button and automatically cuts the thread between color thread changes when you are embroidering. A big time saver!! And there is a great on screen help menu. Included with this 200e is a Design CD that has 50 additional embroidery designs, an instructional CD that is a must watch that shows you all of the great features on this 200 and how to use them, Bernina's toutorial CD and one more CD that contains Berninas ARTlink & Data Transfer program. Accessories included with this machine are: *Bernina's BSR update kit and the BSR foot *Flash memory stick (memory stick might look different than the one shown in the photo) * Detailed owners manual * Soft Machine and embroidery module cover *Removable sewing table *Soft bag case for your accessories and embroidery module *Embroidery module *Small, Medium and Large embroidery hoops * FHS {free hands system} presser foot lifter *Foot control with needle up and down feature *Built in needle threader *Accessory box * #1C Reverse pattern foot * #2A Overlock foot * #3C Buttonhole foot * 3A Automatic Buttonhole foot * #4 Zipper foot * #5 Blind stitch foot * #8 Jeans foot * #18 Button sew-on foot * #20C Open embroidery foot * #15 Closed embroidery / darning foot * #40C Sideways motion foot with code * Vertical spool holder * 2 Bobbin cases, one for sewing and a gold latch case for embroidery * Hight compensating tool * Seam ripper * Asst. tools, Lint brush, oil, pack of needles & 4 bobbins. *Bright fluorescent sewing light! *USB computer cord to connect this Bernina to your computer! I have been selling lightly used machines for over 6 years now on eBay and due to the care I take in packing, I very rarely have had any shipping problems ! The machine and accessories will be well padded and packed in 2 strong plastic storage containers with handles for ease of movement. A lot of care is taken in packing up your machine. The machine and accessories are all protected with heavy bubble wrap, cardboard and the containers are then filled with packing peanuts. Just in case there would be a shipping problem, your packages will be insured for the full auction amount and sent to you via Fedex ground. Shipping is FREE !!! within the continental United States. *****PLEASE NOTE: USA sales ONLY!!! ***** I am a trusted eBay powerseller with a 100% feedback rating. I have been selling embroidery machines on eBay for over 5 years now. I have a lot of really nice machines in stock but I am not a mass seller. I usually never have more than 1 machine listed at a time, then when they sell it is a few days before I list another one. I take care of my sales one at a time. This is a high dollar item not a five dollar toy, so each and every sale is taken very seriously, professionally and one at a time! In the very rare case you should have a problem with this machine within the first 3 months, send it back and I will repair it at no cost to you. I will even refund the amount it costs you to ship the machine back to me.* I can still help you out with a repair after the first 3 months, but you would need to pay for the shipping. I service what I sell! One thing I do ask is that if in the VERY rare case there should be a problem when you receive your machine, please contact me first. I will not pay for or guarantee a repair for the machine after it has been worked on by someone else! I can not stress that enough so I will say it again. I WILL NOT PAY FOR A REPAIR MADE BY SOMEONE ELSE! MY 90 DAY GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID IF SOMEONE ELSE WORKS ON THIS MACHINE! I have had now had two problem's like this in the past 5 years of selling machines. There was some damage to a machine from shipping. The buyer did not contact me about the damage till after her local dealer made the repair, then she wanted me to pay for the repair. Had she contact me first, I would of told her to return the machine to me. I would of fixed the machine at no cost to her and I would of refunded her the shipping amount to send the machine back to me. So please contact me first in the very rare case there would be a problem. Once you have received your machine and you are happy with the transaction, please leave me feedback and I will do the same for you. In the very rare case there should be a problem, please don't just run off to eBay and leave me bad feedback. Please contact me first and give me the chance to make things right. As all of my customers know, I am very helpful and easy to work with. I service what I sell. I guarantee what I sell, but to keep my costs as low as I can, I do not offer any money back should you change your mind after the transaction is complete. I do not have a guarantee for "Buyers Remorse". All sales are final. Repair or replacement only at the sellers discretion. Have no fear, I do not sell junk! With well over 300 Bernina's sold over the past 6 years on eBay, I have a long list of happy customers and a 100% feedback rating! Thank You! * Shipping refund is for FedEx or UPS ground shipment only, plus insurance, and is only good within the first 3 months after receiving your machine. Here are just some of the feedbacks I have earned over the past few years and check out my latest feed back from the past few months, everyone has been very pleased with their purchase! :) * I have never had such a awesome transaction!!! Here is your chance to get a great deal on an excelent machine !! ** Please note: If you have "0" (ZERO) or only negative feedback or have a few negative feedbacks, prior contact with me ( the seller) is required BEFORE you bid, with payment information ( what form of payment or how you will be paying for this item ) or your bid is subject to cancellation. PLEASE DO NOT BID OR USE "Buy it Now" if you can't or won't pay for this item within 7 days of auction end. Contact MUST be made with me (the seller) within 24 hours of the auctions end or the item will be relisted! Ebay is a fun place to shop and sell, lets all keep it that way! Thank You! F.Y.I.- A lot of my ad's / photos have and are being copied on this and other auction sites. I sell only on eBay. Bernina's are really great machines ! There must be a thousand ways to describe them. So please DO NOT COPY my ad discription or photos! Violators of this policy will be reported to eBay and your ad will be removed! Photos and text property of "bushvideo" auctions. Copyright 2007 * * SCAM ALERT!! Please read! * * I know this might detract from my ad, but I feel very strongly about doing my small part in passing on this valuable information. I was contacted by a very nice lady that lost $900 in a scam eBay auction! I felt the need to post this message to help keep you from falling into the same trap. Please believe that my motivation is not to convince or pressure you to purchase from me. I have never failed to sell one of my items, so I have no need to do this. Most eBay auctions are legitimate, but whether you buy from me or from someone else, please read this message and be aware and informed about those who would cheat you. Currently there appears to be a high number of fraudulent eBay listings, almost always on high dollar items (of course!) Here are some guidelines to make your shopping safer. These are all warnings that eBay will tell you as well. The latest scam is a “Hijacked Listing.” The scammer somehow manages to steal a legitimate member’s ID and feedback and posts a fraudulent ad for a high dollar item. Berninas are one of several targeted products. The red flag on these phony auctions is that the scammer does not want you to bid, but to contact him/her directly via an email address, as opposed to eBay’s “Ask seller a question” feature. Usually, very prominent in the ad, you will see “Email me at...” or “Email me for the best deal” requesting that you do so before you bid. They need you to contact them directly and not through eBay because the listing is not real. ALWAYS use eBay’s mail system! It is for your protection. If you do make direct contact, you will be offered an item at an unreal price, but required to send payment through a direct payment company that eBay will not let me mention in my ad, but the initials are W.U. or other cash means. DO NOT EVER send payment this way or give out any of your banking info. You might as well kiss your hard earned money goodbye. They may send you a very official looking “eBay” document, with all the eBay logos on it, instructing you where to send the money and how to pay--even claiming the item is insured by a secured account with eBay. THESE ARE FRAUDULENT DOCUMENTS. Ebay does not do this type of “invoicing.” If it is unlike any type of transaction you are familiar with, be very wary! A great deal of time and effort has been made to make this appear legitimate, so be careful. Most of these listings are one to three day listings because it takes eBay up to 48 hours to remove a bad listing, and only if it has been reported. I have managed to thwart several of these, but many still continue. The safest way to pay online is to use a credit card, as most major companies will credit you all your money back in case of fraud. If you send via a direct payment company that eBay will not let me mention in my ad, but the initials are W.U.or an other form of direct cash payment (such as transfer from a bank account without using a PayPal type process), you are at extremely high risk of losing your money. Ebay makes every effort to warn its members of this, and I am simply reiterating that warning. Ebay tries to protect its members, but for every safeguard they create, a scam artist is working to crack it--and they do! So it comes down to you and me to use our heads to make sure our transactions are safe. To sum it up, here are some things to avoid: 1-3 day auctions; cash or a direct payment company that eBay will not let me mention in my ad, but the initials are W.U. payment requirements; pressure from seller to buy now for the best price (other than through eBay’s actual “Buy It Now” feature); telling you not to bid but to contact the seller directly outside eBay’s mail system; bad or low feedback; copies of other listings you may have seen using the same text and/or photos; or a U.S. looking auction where the seller wants payment sent out of the country while claiming the item location is somewhere in the U.S. DO: Be certain the seller is legitimately selling the item by contacting them through eBay’s “Ask seller a question” option. Carefully review feedback history. Are previous items sold similar, or at least make logical sense with what this auction is listing? Or is a low end item seller all of a sudden selling computers and high end machines? Use a credit card when possible for payment (after confirming its policy on fraud protection). Most importantly: read and use eBay’s safe buying and selling practices! Again, whether you buy from me or elsewhere, as an honest and concerned eBay member, I just wanted to pass on this information. Please be careful! From an eBay member that cares, Bill P.S. In the couple of months I have noticed another type of scam on eBay. Watch out for ad listings that when you click on them, you get what looks like eBays sign in page. It says you must log on to eBay to view this item. This is called a "phishing scam" ( fishing). The log on page is not a eBay page but one that is posted by a scammer. If you log on to that page then you have just given a scammer your eBay name and password! Ebay will never ask anyone to "log on" just to see one ad. Also eBay or Paypal will never email you asking for your log in info or any other info. The fake emails you get saying your eBay or Paypal account need to be updated are also "phishing scams". Ebay or Paypal will never ask for any type of personal or password login info in a email to you. I received the below message from a fellow eBay member and I wanted to post it here for all to see. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for posting the scam alert on your auction. I too was a victim scammed out of $1068 this past weekend in exactly the same manner as the lady mentioned. Of course I thought myself a smart and cautious Ebayer until this...I had NO IDEA that this has been going on! As soon as they got my money they blocked all further emails/contact. I tracked them down yesterday from another fake listing (of course they had a new email address listed)& let them know since they had no intention of paying me back that I would pay them back by reporting them to as many people possible, including constantly checking for more fake listings, reporting each one to Ebay in addition to alerting the hijacked sellers. I am still sick over it but every time Ebay emails me w/ another auction now closed by Ebay notice, it gets gets easier to stomach. Who knows how much stolen money caring people such as yourself have prevented from going into theives' pockets. Again, THANK YOU! NEW SCAM ON EBAY, PLEASE READ, Just the other day I found out about a new type of scam and here is what to look out for. My wife clicked on a Bernina auction ad the other day and she asked me why, when the ad came up on the screen the picture jumps. I thought something was wrong with her computer screen, but when I checked it out I found out what was happening. The page jumped/flickered because it was being directed to an "off of eBay" web site. The web address above no longer had "ebay.com" in it. That is a dead give away that you are on a scam page. The correct web address should always have the word "ebay" in it right before the ".com". You will most always see a command right before the word ebay, like if you were doing a search the address might be h ttp://search.ebay.com with some other words and slashes after the ".com". The word "search" I have in the sample web address will be different each time you are going on a different web page and the "commands" after ".com" will always be different. You just need to make sure the web address has "ebay" in it right before the".com". If not and you have noticed the web page flickering or jumping right after you clicked on a auction ad, then you have been directed to what looks like a ebay auction ad, but you are no longer on the official ebay web site. The two scam ad's were for a Bernina 730 and a Bernina 200. Both had a "BUY IT NOW" price of $1,500.00. Yes another "to good to be true" price. That is way less than dealer cost so you know something is not right. I did not click on the "BUY IT NOW" to see what happens, but I would bet that you would see a copy of the eBay sign in page. You would then enter your eBay name and password. Then you would go to pay for the item and you would have to sign into the fake " look alike" Paypal page. Same thing is true for the Paypal web site. It must say "paypal" in the web address before the ".com", if it does not, you are then not on a real Paypal web site. You enter your Paypal ID and password and you now have given someone some very important info! To top off the scam, chances are good that they will try and have you send them some sort of "unsecured" payment. So please be careful when making a high $$ purchase and buy from sellers you know you can trust! If you have any questions, please ask them before you place your bid. Thanks for looking ! Good Luck Bidding ! On Jul-16-08 at 21:22:19 PDT, seller added the following information:It has been brought to my attention that my listings for Bernina’s have been showing up on CRAIG’S LIST.I have NEVER sold anything or ever listed anything for sale on CRAIG’S LIST. These ad’s are copies of my ad’s and they are a scam. I have contacted the people at CRAIG’S LIST several times and they have NEVER removed any of my copied ad’s. Seems they just do not care and they try to make me look like the bad guy. Please don’t fall victim to those fake ad’s that show totally unreal low prices for a high quality machine like this one. I ONLY sell on eBay. So if you see my ad elsewhere it is a fake. My ad’s have been copied and used by some scammers on eBay. So if you see the sellers ID is not “bushvideo” then you know the ad is a copy. Thanks to those that have told me about the copied ad’s !
