CREAM' Description This auction is for 1 pound of prime Huacaya Alpaca Fleece.  It was professionally shorn in June '08 and is from our young alpaca "Commanche".   The staple length measures 4" and is soft and fine.  There is very little vegetable matter.  This is from the blanket only, no leg, belly or neck fiber.  It is straight off the alpaca so would be best to clean and card prior to spinning.  I will include washing instructions. The color is very light fawn or cream. Alpaca fiber is wonderfully soft and warm!  It does not contain lanolin or guard hairs so it is itch free and hypoallergenic (after washing).
