Description
40-60,000 VINTAGE Wholesale Craft Book Lot Crochet+ADD OUR STORE TO YOUR FAVORITES! If this lot does not sell then thousands of different titles to be added to this store when I have time. I have had these a year so who know when I will get to it. In the meantime I will be listing this lot until I have time to get to them. We will use the newsletter function to let you know when new items are listed. It has taken me since Nov of last year to organize all of these. It will take me a months to get them all up. You can see the breakdown below of what will be getting listed. I have listed this a few times over the year as I am very busy. Now I am having a baby in spring and truly see me not having time to get to this with my other websites I run. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I CAN EMAIL MORE PICTURES. ONLY 12 FIT. Great opportunity for the right person. Make me an offer! I will consider offers below my asking price. Below is a breakdown of how many boxes per category. They are all organized! Each title if multiples are all together and in a nice clear plastic bag. Then each title is organized by category. All the macrame are together, all the weaving, all the cross stitch...... I did most of the hard work. In addition to the booklets you will get this ebay store. Vintage Craft Books. The ID vintagecraftbooks, the templates, graphics and any misc design stuff I have done to go with it. You will need to scan and load the rest of the inventory as I only have 135 books scanned and loaded but it is a start. If someone does buy this I will put store on vacation. I will have to fill any misc orders from inventory but that may be just a few books. I estimate there is at least 40,000 booklets total but could be up to 60,000 as some of the vintage ones are really thin. They are all packed up and ready to go in my warehouse. They are from a craft store that went out of business a few years ago. The business had been around for 40+ years so a wide variety from late 60's to just a few years ago. They were stored very well and most still like new. All books are brand new and most in such condition. Most even still have the brand new smell. There are some older 70's books that have a older smell. NOT MUSTY. What you would expect from a book being stored since 1979. I have a super sensitive nose and if I came across any that seemed musty I threw them out. What you should know: I went through this lot and pulled out some painting books. There are still 20 boxes of painting left. All other crafts categories are intact and all there. I did not keep ONE book from this lot other than painting. So you will get out of print books that sell quite high to the avg ones. I did just start this new ID and have sold some books out of it on this ID only. The great thing is that most books have duplicates. And not just one or two. Some have up to 100 or so of a title. This is a good thing for the long run. Due to the mass qty of books there are thousands of titles, but still a nice amount of each to keep selling from. As you can go through take the time to list a book and then just hit relist when it sells. There is macrame, cross stitch, crochet, knitting, plastic canvas, quilling, beading, polymer clay, quilting, dough art, weaving, looming, painting, stenciling, drawing, bow making, floral making, draping, stained glass, gallery glass, general crafts, decoupage, basket weaving, doll miniature furniture making, woodcrafting, paper mache, sewing, candlemaking, sand art, tin punching, and much more. About anything you could imagine is here. Even some neat 70's stuff that I never heard of even. Now I have done much more work to this lot since I listed it way back in November of 07. I have gone through and divided up the books by title and category. Here is a breakdown of what is in the lot. Each number is a BOX. Each box has 150-?? 500 booklets. Depending on thickness of booklet. The booklets are all together by title. Each title is put in a clear heavy plastic to keep them dry and organized in the category which it should be in. 20-Macrame20-Painting  7-Quilting 8- Cross Stitch 8 - Jewelry & Beading 9 - Sewing 3 - Applique 1 - Plants 2 - Stenciling 8 - Crochet 3- Iron On Transfers 5 - Weaving 3 - Poly Clay - Dough 7 - Florals 1 - Tin Punch 3 - Embroidery 3 - No Sew 1 - Foam  3 - Dolls/ Doll Making 1 - Ragpoint 1 - Candle Making 1- Candy Making 1- Chenille  2- Kids Crafts 1 - Plaster 3 - Basket Making 3 - Decoupage 4 - Plastic Canvas 1 - Lace Net Darning 1 - Petal Porcelain 2 - Felt 1 - Pom Pom 4 - Soft Sculpture 1 - Embossing 1 - Paper Mache 8 - 70's odd crafts 2 - Wedding 1 - Bows 2 - Kids Party 1 - String Art 2 - Hairbows 1  - Rugs 2 - Stained Glass 4 - Liquid Bead 1- Knitting 1 - Shrink Art 1 - Clothespins 1- Brown Bags 1 - Draping 2 - Fur ( like making furry puppets with wool... )  1 - Leather 2 - Christmas Crafts 1 - Needlepoint 1 - Miniature 1 - Paper Casting 1- Miniatures30 - Misc singles of all different kinds which there was only one or just a few of. 30 - ** These are where I took 5 of each book before I put them in plastic and sorted them in the above boxes. Then they are in a manilla folder, marked with the title and organized again by category. They are the boxes that you can scan the books and build the listing from. You can just use filing cabinets to keep 5 of each title easily accessible. Or keep them in the file boxes as I have. Then you go to the "back stock" that is organized in boxes when you get low and fill your file folder back up.   Everything is as organized as it can be at this point. You just need to sit down, scan and build the listings. RETAIL VALUE: $???????? I made this a private auction so if you are a reseller on ebay no one will know where you got them. I used to sell all kinds of craft books. While ago I sold off all non-painting books to simplify things. Then very shortly after this opportunity came along. The largest lot of books I ever bought to date. I have two plans. Pull painting out (which I did) and sell rest in one large lot or to start another ebay store and sell individually myself. I got a good deal on these books and if I can sell them in one lot and make money I am choosing to do that instead. As I have many painting books to deal with and selling these opens up other opportunities to aquire more painting books. So as I am working on this lot getting it loaded I decided to keep it up for sale. As managing two stores is a bit much for me. But after a month or so if this does not sell I will likely just keep it as by that time I will have put much hard work into it and shipping is the easy part. These books are all packed and ready to go. This is a pick up only. But I will consider shipping them depending on where they are going. It will weigh aprox 10,000 pounds. And buyer responsible for all shipping charges. I can put them on pallets if helpful and have a loading dock available for shipping company pick up.   Pick up preferred. Shipping may be able to be arranged at buyers expense.         Must be cleared before shipment/pickup. Template design and graphics designed by Vintage Craft Books.
