The frame is oak I think. It has string heddles, preferred for fine yarn. This loom was my husbands, (deceased) and I have not actually used it. . It has an extra warp beam (fully loaded) but I do not know the strength of this warp because it has been on for a long time. The loom is fully assembled and will be that way for pick up. It is very heavy. When the loom is open it measures: 55" inches x 51 ½" inches (widest part). Frame is 43" inches high. CLOSED: it is 19" inches ( at widest part). It is on rollers.
