This listing is for one lot of 20 NEW Czech glass modern buttons in a high relief ese arefloral design. Th black glass with iridescent luster fired on the front measuring 7/8 inch with GLASS shanks. Although some of my buttons may look vintage or antique they are NEWLY MADE and have no damage or wear.  All my Czech glass buttons come directly from the factory where they are made to order. They have not been previously handled. This is a new generation of very high quality handmade glass buttons. The technology used to create some of these finishes simply did not exist in the 20's, 30's 40's or 50's. The hand pressing techniques however, have not changed in over 200 years. Each button is pressed in what looks like a long-handled pair of pliers. The end of the pliers hold the design mold. Each shank has to be added at just the right moment while the glass is still very hot. Glass shank buttons are pressed slightly differently. After they cool in a special oven, the edge of each button is finished by hand; meaning each is ground smooth on a diamond wheel. After that they are either decorated (painted) by hand or finishes are fired on the front or back. They are new and free from damage or wear, I am very picky about quality control.
