Description
You are bidding on a 2 1/2 inch closed hand woven Nantucket Basket with a Compass Rose resin scrimshaw top. The baskets are purchased from a company out of NH, and we apply our own resin scrimshaw pieces on them. The diameter of the basket at the opening approx 2 1/2 inches. It is approx 2 3/4 inch tall, not including the handle. There is ivory colored spacer and peg. The basket is a handwoven cane. The top and base are a hardwood. They make a great accessory gift and can even be used as a christmas ornament. The resin scrimshaw was originally hand etched by internationally famed scrimshander, Linda Layden. The scene on this Nantucket Basket is a beautifully originally hand etched Compass Rose. The pictures of this basket can't show the amount of detail in this beautiful piece. Bid with confidence, as my Ebay feedback shows that you will get your product in a timely manner. I ship tuesday thru fridays. All items will be shipped within 2 business day of payment.
