Although it tends to be a medium-sized tree, one tree in Alabama has grown to 111 feet tall, with a diameter of more than 4 feet. Because of its graceful silhouette and attractive bark, river birch is a highly prized ornamental. River birch wood is strong, but light, making it ideal for the manufacture of children's toys and artificial limbs.   River birch wood is hard, strong, and close-grained. Its main uses are for local furniture manufacture, basket materials, and small woodenware.  Size :  Diameter: 17-1/2”          Thickness:  6”Sealed: Yes, completely coated with Anchorseal after photo.  The ONLY trusted wood sealant.Condition: We cut our blanks and seal them while still green.
