Description
10 KUMILOOM KUMIHIMO JAPANESE BRAIDING DISK KUMI LOOMS You are purchasing a package of TEN of these looms in this listing! (You are purchasing the Kumi Loom, the bobbins and cords pictured are not included) The best Kumihimo handheld loom available! For those who want to use the centuries-old Kumihimo-stype braiding techniques, but want a small, portable loom, the Kumi Loom is the answer! This sturdy, dense EVA foam product is 6 inches wide, 12mm (about ½ inch) thick. It has 32 notches for holding your braiding cord firmly, providing the necessary tension for good, tight braids. One great, and unique, design is that it is 8-sided. This allows you to easily find your place, make a quick check of proper cord alignment, is convenient to hold, and the 8 corners are labeled with compass directions—making some braiding directions easier to give and understand. BONUS! On the back side, there are "quick start" directions for the basic braid, so this disk is all you need (other than cord) to get started! You can partially complete a project, set the Kumi Loom down, and come back later—the directions will help you find your place. Designed by an experienced author and teacher of Kumihimo braiding on small, personal looms and disks, we think this is the best product of its kind on the market. Need more than one? Click here for auctions with quantity discounts! The material used for these disks is a high-density, high-tech EVA foam, the same material used to make high quality "flip flops" (not the cheaper ones). It has just enough "elasticity" to hold many sizes of cords snugly without making it difficult to slide the cords into the notches. Other materials—plastic, cardboard, fiberboard, low density foams—don't have all the qualities I believe are necessary for these looms. This material "pinches" the cord perfectly in place, doesn't bend in spite of cord stress, is lightweight for portability, and will last for years (still own your old flip-flops?!). You also may wish to consider our starter kit, this Kumiloom, plus 8 bobbins, a 10-page instruction booklet, and starter cords. Click here to see that auction! More Kumihimo-related items in my other auctions (click here) My promises to you: I AM RESPONSIBLE for their safe arrival to US addresses. If they don't make it, or arrive damaged, I will replace them. You don't need insurance. Of course I combine shipping for multiple wins!
