(See Photos Below)   Measurements are to the closest 1/8 inch and are Diameter X Height (which includes the tenon) are as follows:   I often get emails with requests for the really red Box Elder Burl pieces.  I do not have a lot of these really red pieces, but I have decided that I will sell a few of them for the Christmas season this year.  If it goes well, I will offer a few more next Christmas and make it an annual event every December.   5 3/4" Diameter x  5 1/4"  - Solid, no checks.  Photos 1, 2, 3 and 4 show the piece as it is being rotated from one angle and photos 6, 7, 8 and 9 show the piece being rotated from an elevated angle.   The exterior has been trued up and given a light sanding.  I have also trued up the interior.  If you do not have hollowing tools, you could leave the interior as it is or you could just sand the inside with flap sanders.  If you do not want to buy the flap sander for one project, you could glue the sandpaper to a ball on the end of a stick and do the sanding with that.  If you are a turner with hollowing tools, and want to thin the walls, it will start nice and smoothly because of the preliminary truing up of the interior.  Regardless of how you proceed, this will be a very striking piece when it is done.   I will automatically combine multiple purchases in order to economize on the shipping costs.  If you would like quote for a ‘wish list’, I would be happy to send you one. Shipping costs vary according to buyer location, the Ebay shipping calculator is an approximate cost only.  For an accurate and guaranteed shipping cost, send me your postal cost and state/province and I will be happy to provide you with a quote.  If you are the winning bidder, before making your payment, please wait until I send you an invoice with the correct shipping cost   Premium Quality Turning Blanks - The Best in Craftsmanship and Design   My roughed out wood turning blanks are kiln dried so that they are a stable and easy to work product.  My turning blanks are ready to go project that you can complete and sign with your signature.  The blanks have been preliminarily "trued up" on the exterior and may require further “truing” once the wood has adjusted to your geographic conditions.  The tenon(s) is made to fit ‘ONEWAY’ chucks.  If you use a different method, please feel free to ask me to reduce the size of the tenon and/or the diameter of the blank to fit your lathe.  I am happy to do it.   Item(s) have been wiped with mineral oil for the photo.  If you would like to improve the figured display of your turnings, wipe them with clear mineral oil before applying the finish and see how it improves your work.  You can email me for more details.    Wood is a natural growing material.  There may be bark inclusions, checks, knots, voids; resin pockets, grain irregularities, etc. found throughout the wood that may not be apparent on the surface.
