The color is an Antique Walnut. This is a  hide with a very rustic, antiqued look to it. This is a beautiful, 1 of a kind hide you won't find anywhere else. THE 1ST PHOTO IS THE BEST REPRESENTATION OF THE COLOR. An Old World Tanning process has been used. Leather is a tough material, but it needs to be cared for…protect your investment. For recommended protection, just ask The Leather Guy!!!   This hide measures 4-5 ounce in thickness. See my leather conversion chart (just above my logo) for the breakdown of the thickness into other forms of measure. This hide has a brand with holes, is beautiful, and is the hide you will receive. These hides are beautiful, you will be able to make very unique, different looking items that no-one else has with these hides.  Give it a try you won't be disappointed. The temper is:  soft & pliable; with a topgrain These are natural grained hides so the graining may be heavier & bolder in some spots The Bison Hide leather is processed in a more unique way that makes the Old World Tannage more eco-friendly than other modern tanning methods. Our tanner has spent nearly 25 years perfecting this tannage. He has a great respect for the way things were done when hides were tanned one at a time by hand, the way they were hundreds of years ago.   Our Bison has a rustic, and at the same time, a rich and classy look. There is a uniqueness of the Bison that many Americans can relate too. A natural grain, NOT embossed, stamped or plated. There is an appreciation of the natural character that Bison is known for. From large to small pebble grains to natural scarring.
