mosaicsbyshell Store Your Favorite Image! Mosaic Tile or Drink Coasters (4) click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge Customized Tiles/Coasters for you! This auction is for a set of (4) four Mosaic Tiles or Drink Coasters of your favorite pictures/images. These are the tiles you have been waiting for! Make a personalized mosaic gift for grandma or sister or mother or for yourself of your beloved pets. Pictured is 4 different pics I took of my sweet puppy dog "Cooper" that I have yet to make into coasters, but hubby makes these coasters for his sports memoribilia business all the time so I have included a pic of a Chargers coaster he made so you can see better what it looks like. These coasters/tiles are 3 3/4 inches both ways. I will do 4 of the same image or 4 different images YOUR CHOICE. You will need to tell me if you want them as coasters or tiles for mosaics (the only difference is that the coasters have a cork backing that will be included at no extra charge.) You will also need to email me the pictures. We will take any picture (no nudity please) and sublimate it onto a coaster or mosaic tile for you. I am selling this as a set of 4. Email me if you have any questions. Customized tiles need at least 3 days handling time from when payment and images have been received from you as I do work outside the home and am not able to do this fulltime.I am introducing a new and unique product to the mosaic artist's world. I make sublimation tiles. What is Dye Sublimation Printing?Dye Sublimation, as a process is really very simple. It is the method of applying an image to specially coated ceramics, metals and polyester cloth, using three main ingredients: sublimation ink, heat and pressure. Sublimation ink is unique in its ability to convert from a solid to a gas without going through a liquid form. (Just like dry ice.) The conversion is initiated by heat and controlled with pressure and time. Hard items such as ceramic, fiber board, metals, etc. requires a special coating to accept the sublimation inks.I use hardboard to create the tiles because it is strong, light in weight and thin. This goes fantastic next to stained glass and many nipped porcelin and china plates being just the right thickness. Hardboard, also called high-density fiberboard, is a type of fiberboard, which is an engineered wood product. It is similar to particle board and medium-density fiberboard, but is much harder and denser because it is made out of exploded wood fibers that have been highly compressed. This hardboard is coated with polymer to accept the ink. This coating gives the tiles a beautiful glossy finish that is nearly identical to a china or porcelain plate. Once it's grouted you cannot tell the difference.See my other listings for more great items! click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge Preferred payment method is paypal but money order or cashiers check is ok. I will ship after it has cleared. I firmly believe in not overcharging for shipping so for the time being I will ship first class which is 2-5 days as per the post office. I am happy to send it priority mail which will be $5.00. Just email me if you would prefer this option. The only exception to this rule is if you have multiple items, in that case it is usually more economical to just ship it priority mail. I will always combine shipping if I can.Generally I will ship within 2 business days unless you contact me and are waiting on other auctions.
